WAUSAU – Cajun restaurant J. Gumbo’s now open

    If you’re tired of the standard meal of burgers and fries and interested in spicing up your palate with some Louisiana cooking, then you’re in luck.

    J. Gumbo’s, a fast-casual Cajun and Creole restaurant with more than 30 locations in the U.S., officially opened to the public in downtown Wausau on Thursday. And so far, hundreds of people have already sampled the New Orleans-inspired eatery’s menu, which includes everything from jambalaya to drunken chicken to po’boys, said the restaurant’s co-owner John Jacobs.
