WaterStone Bank plans to build Greenfield branch

Wauwatosa-based WaterStone Bank plans to build a full-service bank branch in Greenfield.

The 3,500-square-foot building is proposed to be built at 5000 W. Loomis Road, at the northwest corner of Loomis and Edgerton Ave. Other businesses in that area include Bluemel’s Garden & Landscape Center and The Starr Group.

“Pending all regulatory and municipal approvals we are building in Greenfield to better serve our customer base in southeastern Wisconsin,” said WaterStone Bank chief operating officer Bill Bruss. “The demographics in that area align with our business model.”

The bank received city approval to build a branch on the Loomis Road site about six years ago. But the project was put on hold during the Great Recession.

WaterStone Bank currently has nine branches, located in Wauwatosa, Franklin, Germantown, Oak Creek, Oconomowoc, Pewaukee, Waukesha, Brookfield and West Allis. It also has a commercial real estate loan office in Minneapolis.
