Wauwatosa-based WaterStone Bank has created a new program especially for active duty service members, military veterans and Reserve and National Guard service members.

The Military Valor Program is available when military members have or open a WaterStone checking account. The benefits available are: An honor flight DVD or license plate frame at enrollment; a $100 credit upon setting up direct deposit of military payroll, government benefit or employer payroll; free patriotic checks; no fees on money orders or official checks; no fees on overdraft protection transfers; no fees on wire transfers; no fees on ATM transactions; a refund on the Option Flex Line of Credit annual fee; $500 for getting the first home mortgage loan with autopay through WaterStone; and an annual voucher for a free standard size U.S. flag.
