An expanding Milwaukee-area powersports company has received approvals for a new 53,000-square-foot building in the Village of Raymond, near Caledonia.

The building will be occupied by Oak Creek-based Milwaukee Powersports, which sells nine brands of new motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles and personal watercraft, along with accessories, services and used inventory.

Founded in 2021, Milwaukee Powersports has outgrown its current space at 7221 S. 13th St.

“We have over 600 units in inventory, and the space that we have here  can only keep a max of 100 to 150 units on site at any given time,” said Maggie Vesey, marketing director for Milwaukee Powersports. “Our parts departments is completely overflowing. We’re constantly busy with service. It just became that we needed to move and expand so that we could better serve our customers.”

Vesey said things contributing to the company’s growth include keeping sales, service and all other departments coordinated to create a positive customer experience, and growing the company’s marketing efforts to attract more customers.

“Despite our growth, we’ve managed to stay to our roots and making sure that we take care of our customers,” Vesey said. “And a lot of good word of mouth comes from that. When people come in here, they feel very much like we’re a super close knit mom and pop shop.”

The Village of Raymond approved plans for the building, which will be built at the northwest corner of County Highway K and I-94, in February and the Village of Caledonia reviewed plans Tuesday due to the proposed project’s proximity to the municipal border.

Working with Partners In Design Architects, according to a Village of Raymond agenda, Milwaukee Powersports hopes to begin construction on the new facility this year.
