Walmart to open Greendale store next week

Walmart announced that it will open its new store in Greendale on Wednesday, Jan. 23.

The 90,000-square-foot store is located at 5301 S. 76th St., Greendale, across the street from Southridge Mall. It was built on the former home of the U.S. Bowling Congress, which moved to Texas.

The store will have grocery and general merchandise goods. About 200 people will work at the store.

“We are looking forward to being a part of the Village of Greendale and serving the people of our community with everyday low prices,” said store manager Jason Steffen.
