A 43,000-square-foot Walmart Neighborhood Market store opens today at 5625 Washington Ave. in Mt. Pleasant. The site is southwest of Washington Avenue (Highway 20) and Green Bay Road (Highway 31).
The site was formerly occupied by a Sentry grocery store.
Neighborhood Market stores are about one-fourth the size of Walmart Supercenter stores, and only sell grocery and pharmacy items.
The new Mt. Pleasant store has 95 employees.
