Walmart buys property for New Berlin store

Walmart recently purchased three properties on Greenfield Avenue in New Berlin, where it plans to build a 152,000-square-foot store.

 
The company paid a total of $5.275 million for the properties, according to state records.

The Bentonville, Ark.-based retailer purchased 16.2 acres, which includes the 8,394-square-foot Charcoal Grill building on a 3.2-acre site at 15375 W. Greenfield Ave., a 12.6-acre property at 15205 W. Greenfield Ave. and a 0.4-acre property at 15355 W. Greenfield Ave. 

The store that Walmart will build on Greenfield Avenue will replace its existing 105,000-square-foot New Berlin store at 15333 W. National Ave.
