Walker to keynote Workforce Development breakfast

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will be the keynote speaker at a Workforce Development Program to be presented by the Waukesha County Business Alliance on Wednesday, Dec. 12.

Walker will provide his perspective on the state’s skills gap.
His speech will be followed by a panel discussion that will include: Dan Haight, president and CEO, BuySeasons; Bill McCoshen, executive director, Competitive Wisconsin and former Wisconsin Commerce Secretary; Reggie Newson, secretary, Department of Workforce Development; Tim Sullivan, special consultant for business and workforce development for the State of Wisconsin; and Brian White, president, GE Energy Waukesha gas engines.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Dave Vetta, president, First Business Bank.
All attendees will receive a free copy of the 2012 First Business Economic Survey Report for Milwaukee & Waukesha Counties, summarizing 470 local business leaders’ actual and forecasted: sales revenue, profitability, operating costs, capital expenditures, employee numbers and wages, product pricing, and capacity. The annual survey is sponsored by First Business, and conducted and analyzed by the University of Wisconsin’s A.C. Nielsen Center for Marketing Research.
