Wal-Mart plans new Greenfield building

Wal-Mart plans to build a new 140,000-square-foot supercenter store behind its existing Wal-Mart discount store at 4500 S. 108th St.
in Greenfield. The new store would be built on a site currently used as a golf driving range.
Wal-Mart is gradually replacing all of its older discount stores with new, or expanded, supercenter stores that include grocery departments.
Wal-Mart has not indicated what it plans to do with its existing building, said Greenfield planning director Chuck Erickson. The existing building might remain, he said.
Wal-Mart is also building new supercenter stores in Muskego and Waukesha.
