Milwaukee-based VRC Engineered Solutions, a manufacturer of custom molded rubber, plastic and sealing components, has named Christopher Fillmore as chief executive officer. He succeeds George Caplea, who was serving as interim CEO. Caplea will return to his normal duties as chairman of the board. Fillmore officially assumed his responsibilities on Monday. “Chris is the right new leader for VRC, his extensive sales background in the medical and aerospace markets, makes him the right choice,” said Caplea. “I am looking forward to working with Chris in driving VRC to its next level of growth in our key market segments and bottom-line performance.” Fillmore has more than 15 years of experience in the aerospace, medical and industrial markets. Over the past decade, he has held various executive roles. Fillmore most recently served as president of Charlotte, North Carolina-based MW Components. He also has experience in sales, marketing, and overall profit and loss management. “Chris is a very people-oriented person who will play a huge role in driving our cultural goals of diversity, inclusion and equity for all VRC employees,” said Caplea. Fillmore is from Cleveland, Ohio. He received his bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg University and his MBA from Baldwin Wallace University.
