Vrakas to seek re-election

Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas announced today he has filed a campaign registration statement to be eligible for re-election.
Vrakas, who has been the county executive since 2005, is up for re-election in April 2011.
“It is with great pleasure and excitement that I announce my re-election candidacy today,” Vrakas said. “So much has been accomplished in the last five years, but there is still work to be done and I look forward to leading the charge.”
Vrakas said his campaign will focus on maintaining Waukesha’s reputation of having low taxes and spending.
Last month, the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance recognized Waukesha County as having the lowest per capita spending among all Wisconsin counties.
“As a lifelong Waukesha County resident I am proud of the outstanding success of this county. I would be honored to have the ability to continue to serve the residents of this great County and lead us forward,” Vrakas said.
