Vernal Management Consultants LLC received the 2014 Altenheim Award from the Lutheran Home Foundation at its 15th annual Monarch Ball, held Sept. 13 at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee.
Heidi Mayer, executive director of The Lutheran Home Foundation, presented the award to Karen Vernal, an expert columnist for BizTimes Milwaukee. The company was honored for its expertise, vision and commitment to improving the skills of the leaders at the Lutheran Home and Harwood Place in Wauwatosa.
The Lutheran Home offers short-term rehabilitation, adult day services, memory care assisted living, skilled nursing care and a children’s center. Harwood Place provides independent retirement living, supportive services and assisted living options.
