Verizon Wireless recently activated a new cell site in the city of Waukesha, east of Carroll University south of highway 64 and north of Racine Ave. The new site is equipped with a permanent backup generator and should enable more customers to use their phones with clearer reception and fewer dropped calls.
“This cell site was built to ensure that our customers in and around
Waukesha can continue relying on their phones for everything from making calls and sending messages to surfing the Internet and getting email,” said T.J. Fox, Verizon Wireless president–Wisconsin/Illinois Region, “The most advanced device is only as good as the network it runs on. That’s why we aggressively invest in our Wisconsin network to increase coverage and capacity for our customers.”
