UWM School of Public Health approved by regents, gets Building Commission review today

The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents last week approved plans for a new University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Public Health to be located at the former Pabst brewery complex in downtown Milwaukee.
The state Building Commission will review the plans today.

 

UWM plans to occupy 34,000-square-foot building east of North 10th Street and south of McKinley Avenue for the School of Public Health. An addition will be added to the north side of the building.
UWM has a lease agreement with an option to purchase the building from Zilber Ltd. Zilber Ltd. founder Joseph Zilber, who died earlier this year, former The Brewery Project LLC to redevelop the former Pabst brewery complex into a mixed-use urban neighborhood.
