UPS teams up with La Causa

UPS officials recently donated $25,000 to La Causa that will be used to build an athletic field at La Causa Charter School on the corner of Second and Mitchell streets.
The field will be used by more than 600 students at the school.
UPS volunteers also teamed up with La Causa Charter School students and Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful to pick up garbage around the neighborhood in support of the Great American Cleanup.
David Ruiz, a UPS vice president who was just transferred to Florida to oversee UPS operations there, presented the $25,000 check to La Causa President and CEO George A. Torres at the ceremony. Afterward, Milwaukee Wave players Pablo and Marcelo Fontana signed soccer balls for students.
