Uline to double size of HQ in Pleasant Prairie

Uline today will announce plans to double the size of its corporate headquarters in Pleasant Prairie and add 500 jobs there.

The $100 million project will add a second 200,000-square-foot corporate office building and a second 1 million-square-foot warehouse to the complex located just west of I-94 and south of Highway 165 in Kenosha County.

“We are lucky to have a state that supports the spirit of entrepreneurship that our family and company thrive on.  We recognize the state and county for establishing schools like Carthage and Gateway for educating the talent to fill the jobs of today.” Liz Uihlein, one of the firm’s founders, said in a statement today.

Uline, a distributor of industrial moving and packaging products, said it never sought nor was granted any public funds for the expansion project.

The company opened its Pleasant Prairie corporate headquarters in 2010, relocating from Waukegan, Ill.

In 2012, the company moved a regional distribution center from Minnesota to Hudson, Wis.
