Uline plans major expansion in Pleasant Prairie

Uline Inc., which in 2010 moved its corporate headquarters from Illinois to a massive new corporate campus in Pleasant Prairie, is now planning a major expansion project of that campus.

The company, a distributor of industrial moving and packaging products, plans to build a second warehouse/distribution center at its Pleasant Prairie headquarters campus. The addition of the 1.25 million-square-foot facility will result in the creation of up to 250 jobs once it is fully operational, according to the village.
Uline currently has 800 employees in Pleasant Prairie, with about 600 in the corporate offices and 200 in the existing warehouse.
The existing Uline headquarters campus, which cost $125 million to build, consists of a 200,000-square-foot office building and a 1 million-square-foot warehouse on a 200-acre site southwest of I-94 and county trunk Highway Q.
Village of Pleasant Prairie officials are considering a proposal to provide $15 million in tax incremental financing (TIF) for the Uline expansion project.
The new warehouse would be built just west of the existing warehouse on the Uline campus.
“Uline was in the process of updating its development agreement with the village,” said executive vice president Phil Hunt. “There is still no timetable for construction of a second warehouse.”
