Uline looking to fill 250 warehouse jobs

Pleasant Prairie-based shipping supplies distributor Uline said today that it is seeking workers to fill 250 warehouse positions at its facilities in Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie.

“Uline continues to see sustained growth despite the challenges of COVID-19. This is largely thanks to the hard work of our employees and our ability to supply companies with the products they need to stay open,” said branch manager Brad Harper.

Last year, the company hired 220 warehouse workers at its Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie facilities, and plans to hire 250 more at those facilities this year, Harper said.

Uline has grown significantly since the company moved its corporate headquarters to Kenosha County in 2010, which started with a 1-million-square-foot warehouse and a 275,000-square-foot corporate headquarters office building. In 2014, Uline announced it would double the size of the Pleasant Prairie headquarters, adding a second, similar-sized corporate office building and another 1 million-square warehouse. In 2017, Uline added an 800,000-square-foot distribution facility in Kenosha and completed a second facility of the same size on the Kenosha campus in late 2019.

Then in late 2019, Uline announced plans for two more new buildings, a nearly 1.1-million-square-foot warehouse facility and a 643,800-square-foot fulfillment facility at the Kenosha campus, a $130 million investment. Those expansion plans, featured in a 2020 BizTimes Milwaukee cover story, were expected to take the company to more than 2,400 employees in Kenosha County alone.

Uline now employs over 3,000 people in the Kenosha area, a spokeswoman for the company said today.

The new warehouse positions will offer hourly rates starting at $23/hour or higher (includes $5/hour essential worker pay premium) and annual bonuses over $7,000 paid in December, the company said.

Uline will host hiring events at 12657 Uline Way in Kenosha on Saturday, Feb. 27 and Saturday, March 13. In advance of attending a hiring event, interested individuals must pre-register online to secure an interview slot. State health and CDC guidelines will be followed, including requiring masks, temperature checks and frequent cleaning. Socially-distanced interviews will take place from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. For more information and to register, visit uline.jobs/kenosha.
