Tri-State Traffic Services of Brookfield will receive a $25,000 loan from the Minority Business Development Fund (MBDF) to foster business expansion, according to Gov. Scott McCallum.

The award was approved during a MBDF Board meeting held Nov. 14 in Madison.
“When a road is rebuilt or repaired, it is necessary to provide visible traffic guides to maintain worker and driver safety,” McCallum said. “I am pleased that we can assist in the expansion of a business that provides necessary safety services for various construction projects in Wisconsin.”
Tri-State Traffic Services, Inc. provides traffic control services at construction sites and roadway projects and is a union subcontractor.
It is proposing an expansion of its business to enable it to service more contracts. The company will use its loan to purchase vehicles, inventory and for working capital. The project will create 20 jobs, retain four jobs and leverage $59,600 in additional investment.
