Trans-Coil to move HQ from Milwaukee to Germantown

Trans-Coil International, a Milwaukee-based manufacturer, will consolidate its Milwaukee and Menomonee Falls operations into a new facility that will be built in Germantown.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Monday to celebrate the start of construction of the 66,000-square-foot facility, which will be built at W132 N10611 Grant Dr. in the Germantown Industrial Park. The developer for the project is Wauwatosa-based Irgens, which will lease the building to Trans-Coil. Milwaukee-based The Dickman Company represented Trans-Coil in its site selection process.

“We conducted an extensive search for a location that would best suit our long-term needs,” said Steven Copp, Trans-Coil president and chief executive officer. “Ultimately, the Germantown site proved to best meet our needs given key factors including proximity to our existing work force and future expansion opportunities.”

The company’s current headquarters is located at 7878 86th St. in Milwaukee.

In Germantown, the company plans to add 55 to 60 new jobs over the next three years.

Trans-Coil is a manufacturer of electrical equipment and power quality applied products and a provider of system solutions primarily serving the low voltage frequency drive market.
