Milwaukee Alderman James Witkowiak (right) delivers a book about Milwaukee to Nadir Topbas, mayor of Istanbul, Turkey. The book was signed by Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. Witkowiak and Esperanza Unida executive director Robert Miranda attended the symposium in Turkey, where organizers are seeking to create a "sister city" relationship between Istanbul and Milwaukee that would open up more trade opportunities for Milwaukee-area manufacturers.
