1998:

• New convention center completed in downtown Milwaukee

2001:

• Miller Park opens

• The Quadracci Pavilion (designed by Santiago Calatrava) at the Milwaukee Art Museum opens

• Firstar completes buyout of U.S. Bancorp, changes its name to U.S. Bancorp and moves headquarters to Minneapolis

2004:

• Strong Capital Management acquired by Wells Fargo

2007:

• Small Business Times moves its office to the Historic Third Ward

• Great Recession begins.

• ManpowerGroup moves its corporate headquarters downtown

• Joint venture between SABMiller and Molson Coors Brewing Co. announced

2008:

• Small Business Times changes name to BizTimes Milwaukee and redesigns magazine

• $800 million Marquette Interchange reconstruction project completed

2009:

• Great Recession ends

2010:

• Midwest Airlines brand eliminated, merged into Frontier Airlines

2011:

• BMO Financial Group acquires Marshall & Ilsley Corp.

2015:

• BizTimes Milwaukee celebrates 20^th anniversary
