The Wellness Network acquires Logicare

The Wellness Network, the parent company of The Patient Channel, The Newborn Channel and HealthStyle Press, today announced it has acquired Eau Claire-based Logicare Corp., a leading hospital patient education software company.

 

Logicare’s Eau Claire office and its 25 employees will remain there.

Logicare provides software to health care organizations that creates and tracks patient-specific education and discharge instructions across facilities and enterprises, and delivers emergency department information systems.

Logicare has more than 200 hospital clients, and its software is integrated with electronic medical records system to provide prescribed and trackable education covering more than 6,000 topics.

“Patient education is at the center of health care reform. With the acquisition of Logicare we will be able to measure and record both patient comprehension and consumption of patient ed materials for meaningful use and better patient outcomes,” said Matthew Davidge, president of The Wellness Network.
