“The Creator’s Code”

Everyone has the ability to thrive as an entrepreneur, according to Amy Wilkinson, whose new book defines six skills critical to an entrepreneur’s success.

The book, “The Creator’s Code: The Six Essential Skills of Extraordinary Entrepreneurs,” aggregates the expertise of some of today’s top entrepreneurs and blends their perspectives into six overarching themes.

To crack the code behind successful entrepreneurship, Wilkinson, a strategic adviser, entrepreneur and lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, completed about 200 interviews with executives of companies like LinkedIn, Chipotle, and eBay.

The essential skills she discovered from her conversations with them involve finding an unmet need, remaining focused on the future, moving swiftly from one decision to the next, converting setbacks into success, building teams that contain diverse skillsets, and being open to helping others.

As the book’s introduction details, “The ability to turn ideas into enduring enterprises is available to anyone willing to learn and work.”

“The Creator’s Code” is available on www.amazon.com beginning at $10.50.
