TechSquad IT, a business IT services company based in Waukesha, is hosting a contest to promote business development among startup companies and provide small businesses with the IT services needed to support day-to-day operations.
The contest, titled “It’s a Startup Life: Hustling for the Dream,” coincides with a documentary recently filmed about TechSquad IT’s owner, Chris Wiser, and his success in launching and managing a business. The documentary, part of the Biography Channel’s Profiles of Success show, is set to air later this month.
Any small business is eligible to take part in the contest. To enter, businesses must submit details about one of their top struggles or best experiences they’ve had as a business owner.
“We are a small business, and our goal is to actually try and help other small businesses that are similar to us,” Wiser said.
The first place winner will receive a prize package valued at $8,000. The prize includes a new iPad 3, one free year of website hosting and MKECloud hosted email, a website evaluation and search engine optimization (SEO) assessment, viral removal and email protection services, TechSquad IT Total Care Network Support, TechSquad IT DataVault back up and disaster recovery solution services, and a social media package.
Five additional winners will be awarded a free website evaluation and SEO assessment.
The contest has been accepting submissions since Jan.1 and will continue to take entries until Wiser’s documentary airs. The project is currently in post-production.
