What has fueled your company’s growth?

Our solutions are designed to increase performance, reliability and the uptime of SAP systems which in this year’s economy has helped our customers get the most out of their investment. In many cases our outsourcing/out tasking model can also save customers money.

What is the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth?

The current economic state has forced all budgets under a microscope – everyone is trying to cut budgets.

Do you plan any changes in your company in the upcoming months?

Although no major changes to our business model are planned, we have recently become an SAP partner and are also pursuing a SAS70 certification. Both of these will make us more competitive in the marketplace and will force us to improve our internal processes and policies.

Who are the business people, locally or nationally, whom you admire? And what traits do those people exhibit that make you admire them?

First and foremost, my wife Linda. She has supported Symmetry through all of the years of growth – from start up to success story. And my father, RP, who has been a wonderful advisor over the years.

What is the outlook for the business conditions of your industry over the next several months?

Symmetry is forecasting only slight growth for the remainder of 2009. Given the economic climate however, we feel fortunate to have had another strong year.

What is your company’s key strategy for rising out of the recession?

As many of our solutions either help our customers get the most out of what they have or can help them save money in system management costs, we have focused much of our marketing on a cost savings message. We have also been flexible with payment terms with things like amortized payments terms or “start the work now and pay next quarter” when you have budget available.
