    2014 annual revenue: $4 million

It took Gary Swick, president of New Berlin-based Swick Technologies, nearly 10 years to grow the company’s annual revenue to $1 million. In 2014, just four years later, his company earned $4 million in annual revenue.

“We’re very proud of that, and worked hard to achieve those numbers,” he said.

According to Swick, the growth happened organically and was driven by the company’s unique business model and its commitment to its clients.

Swick Technologies provides ongoing technical support and network solutions to clients for a fixed monthly fee.

“The fixed monthly service contracts means our staff is going to do whatever it takes to stabilize your network,” Swick said. “It’s ingrained in our company culture to get it right the first time.”

The company offers big picture solutions for its clients and aligns technology in a way that makes them better, more profitable companies, Swick said.

Swick Tech serves more than 200 clients, and is most recognized for its work with manufacturing, retail and service industry clients, Swick said.

The company moved to a new facility and doubled the number of employees in 2012. Swick has added more employees since, and plans to continue adding jobs, he said.

“Our new (current) space allows for future expansion,” Swick said. “We’ve got room to grow to at least 50 employees here.”

Swick expects to reach 35 employees by the end of 2015, and by the end of 2017, he expects to grow enough to need more space.

Swick plans to continue to drive growth within the company by focusing on its data center services, disaster recovery products and possible acquisitions. Another challenge, according to Swick, is identifying and training his replacement.

“It’s gotten to the point where the business needs someone to run the day-to-day of the company,” Swick said. “I’d like to get to the point where the business can run almost independently of me. Over the next 12 to 24 months, I plan to begin empowering someone with a lot more information.”
