Cottage Grove-based Summit Credit Union opened a new branch in Mount Pleasant at 6025 Durand Ave, just off South Green Bay Road.
The 1,600 square-foot branch features a personal teller machine, a mortgage loan officer, financial adviser and a business development officer, according to a press release. The new credit union also has one drive-thru lane with teller machine access.
“We’re happy to be joining the fast-growing Mount Pleasant community as we continue to reach more people with branches in southeastern Wisconsin,” said Kim Sponem, Summit chief executive officer and president.
The Mount Pleasant branch opening, along with a new branch that opened in Middleton last month, brings Summit Credit Union’s total branches to 43 across Wisconsin. However, several branches are still in the planning stages across the state.
Summit Credit Union is the second largest credit union in the state and holds $3.7 billion in assets and has more than 196,000 members and 636 employees across.
