What does your daily or weekly fitness regime consist of? I work out in the mornings about 4- 6 times per week. I run, bike, lift weights, yoga and do all sorts of fitness classes like boot camp, kick boxing, etc. I also try and mix up my workouts so it doesn’t get boring.

What fitness clubs do you belong to, if any? Wisconsin Athletic Club (Wisconsin Athletic Club)

Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life? Being fit really helps me focus at work. My morning workouts get my day started right and help the decision making process at work.

How does personal fitness affect your work life? I work a ton of hours, so the only time to fit in a good workout is early in the morning. The workout helps get my day started and allows me to be more focused.

How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization? By setting a good example for my employees, they seem to want to lead a healthier lifestyle. If my employees stay healthier, it will help the company stay more profitable due to lower health care costs.

What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative? My advice for other executives, is to try and outline a cost savings to your employees due to reduced health care costs. This may help get a program started. For other executives, try taking group fitness classes. It is always easier to work out with a group and makes the time go by faster.
