StartupGrind to host discussion on improving Milwaukee’s tech scene

GE Healthcare Life Care Solutions CTO Vivek Bhatt to speak at Dec. 1 event

Startup Grind, a global community of entrepreneurs, is hosting a discussion at the Hudson Business Lounge on Dec. 1, on what Milwaukee could do to become a top-10 tech hub in the United States.

GE Healthcare Life Care Solutions chief technology officer Vivek Bhatt will speak at the event and share his thoughts on what needs to change in the Milwaukee startup environment to create better collaborations between local corporations and entrepreneurs.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15 at the door, but are available online for $10 prior to the event.

Bhatt oversees technology strategy for GE Life Care Solutions as well as engineering for new products and product installation support. LCS makes patient monitoring, anesthesia and respiratory care, maternal infant care and diagnostic cardiology products.

Bhatt earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Cornell University.
