Starbucks planned near airport in Milwaukee, on Bluemound in Brookfield

New Starbucks cafes are planned in the City of Milwaukee near Mitchell International Airport and along Bluemound Road in the Town of Brookfield.

In Milwaukee, a 1,700-square-foot Starbucks will be built on a vacant lot at the southwest corner of Layton Avenue and South 6th Street, according to plans submitted to the city’s Board of Zoning Appeals. It will be the closest Starbucks location to the airport, other than the location that is in the airport itself.

It will be a freestanding Starbucks and will be located next to the Qdoba Mexican Grill restaurant at 639 W. Layton Ave. The Starbucks will have 12 to 20 employees.

In the Town of Brookfield, Starbucks plans to convert the Burger King restaurant at 17980 W. Bluemound Road into a Starbucks cafe.
