Stainless Foundry and Engineering plans expansion

Milwaukee-based Stainless Foundry & Engineering Inc., a manufacturer of stainless steel castings, plans to expand its operation at 5110 N. 35th St.

The company is requesting a zoning change for the property at 5168 N. 34th St. and 5160 N. 35th St. to “industrial heavy.”

The zoning change would allow for consolidation of land for future business expansion, according to a letter from Richard “Rocky” Marcoux, commissioner of the Department of City Development, to members of the Common Council’s Zoning, Neighborhoods and Development Committee.

The company currently has 258 employees and plans to add 10 to 20 jobs with its future expansion, according to Marcoux.
