Several southeastern Wisconsin businesses and organizations have been named recipients of Medicaid home and community-based services (HCBS) grants. The American Rescue Plan Act provides states with federal funding for Medicaid home and community-based services activities. With the goal to enhance, expand, and strengthen HCBS, Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services will provide $30 million over two funding rounds across Medicaid HCBS programs. The first round of organizations to receive a grant include: DHS has awarded a total of $12 million to 43 applicants so far, with many projects focused on improving and expanding the direct care workforce in Wisconsin.
