Sojourner Truth House, Milwaukee’s oldest domestic violence shelter, recently hosted "Awear," its fourth annual fashion show, featuring fresh looks from local businesses including Aala Reed, Detour, J. Bird, m.e. Lou, Miss Groove and Shoo. The event was held at The Pfister Hotel. Approximately 300 supporters attended the event, which raised almost $60,000 to benefit the programs of Sojourner Truth House. Sojourner Truth House operates a 37-bed shelter, which has provided safety and support services to thousands of women and children during its 30-year history.
