SoftwareONE acquires California Skype for Business provider

Waukesha-based technology provider expands capabilities

SoftwareONE, a technology and software portfolio management provider with its U.S. headquarters in Waukesha, today announced it has acquired House of Lync.

Costa Mesa, California-based House of Lync offers Microsoft Skype for Business consulting, designing and servicing.

Switzerland-based SoftwareONE, which has about 3,000 technology consultants and reported 2015 sales of more than $5 billion, made the acquisition to meet increasing demand for Skype for Business services across the world. SoftwareONE will offer the enhanced capabilities through its SkypeSimple product, which provides for on-site, hybrid, private or public cloud professional services.

“This acquisition brings extensive knowledge of Microsoft’s Unified Communications offerings together with the existing broad service and solution capabilities of our SoftwareONE worldwide team,” said Sean Nicholson, global director of Technology Services for SoftwareONE. “It reflects a larger trend as business leaders look to provide a communications platform for the connected workforce. We are thrilled at the opportunity to enhance our Microsoft Enterprise Voice offerings, providing new ways of working anywhere, any time, on any device.”
