Veteran game show host and broadcaster Jim Peck was recently inducted into the Milwaukee Press Club’s Order of the Knights of the Golden Quill during a ceremony at the Newsroom Pub. Peck continues to work as a broadcaster in Milwaukee at AM-620 WTMJ and at WMVS-Channel 10. The Milwaukee Press Club also confirmed the election of its officers, including: Marilyn Krause, senior editor–administration, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, president; Jim Nelson, deputy business editor, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, president-elect; Maryann Lazarski of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, secretary; and Carl Mueller, owner of Mueller Communications Inc. , treasurer. The club’s board of directors includes: Steve Jagler, executive editor of Small Business Times; Sonya Jongsma Knauss, assistant editor of MKE; Jody Lowe, president, Lowe Communications Ltd.; Gina Barton, law and order investigative reporter, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel; Julie Pedretti, director of public relations, Children’s Hospital and Health System; Eric Von, 1290 WMCS radio talk show host of the Eric Von Show; and Jon Anne Willow (immediate past president), co-publisher and editor in chief of Vital Source Magazine. Ken Roesslein, retired from the Milwaukee Sentinel, will serve as the past presidents council chairman. Roger Stafford, executive vice president of Key Milwaukee Magazine, and David Niles of Productive Knowledge will serve as Newsroom Pub liaisons.
