Signarama acquires Design Craft Signs

Organizations:

Signarama Milwaukee has acquired Design Craft Signs of Hales Corners.

The acquisition of Design Craft, a family-owned business for nearly 40 years, expands Signarama’s expertise to include monument, post and panel, interior and sandblasted signs. Those capabilities complement existing services, including large-scale digital printing, banners, tradeshow displays, vehicles wraps and graphics of all types that help businesses and organizations differentiate themselves.

“Signs sometimes seem like a commodity, but we think they’re a big deal. They often make the first impression for a business,” said Brian Cass, president of Signarama Milwaukee. “So we work really hard to help our customers stand out and send the right message. Adding these capabilities is all about bringing our customers new ideas and new ways to build their brands.”

The Design Craft shop in Hales Corners will be closed. Although Design Craft owners Jerry and Julie Ziemer are retiring from the business after four decades, the company’s employees and equipment will be moving to the Signarama facility at 272 N. 12th St. in Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley. In addition, all existing customer artwork files and order histories dating to 1999 have been successfully brought over to Signarama’s systems.
