Several Milwaukee companies involved in Milwaukee's technology and innovation ecosystem will be featured in an upcoming episode of “Advancements with Ted Danson,” which is slated to air Nov. 21 at 1:30 p.m. on CNBC. Advancements with Ted Danson is an information-based show that discusses digital transformation and how technology is changing every industry – from how products are created to how they are manufactured and distributed, according to the TV series’ website. The episode will feature leaders from the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, MKE Tech Hub Coalition and several of its members including Rockwell Automation, Milwaukee Tool, Johnson Controls and Northwestern Mutual. The Advancements segment will highlight several coalition members as they discuss how technology is transforming their companies and the Milwaukee region. Viewers will also learn how the MKE Tech Hub Coalition is bringing together all sectors and industries in a shared mission to grow technology talent and innovation. “In the last year, the coalition has grown from a handful of companies to 57 members,” MKE Tech Hub Coalition chief executive officer Kathy Henrich said in a statement. “It’s through this collaboration that we’re able to drive real growth in tech opportunities for our region. Together, we are stronger.” MKE Tech Hub Coalition was launched in October of 2019 by six founding companies – Northwestern Mutual, Kohl’s Corp., Rockwell Automation, Advocate Aurora Health, Johnson Controls and Accenture. These companies pledged to fund the nonprofit coalition with a combined $5 million two-year commitment.
