Schlitz Park to hold fundraiser for Hunger Task Force

Schlitz Park will host a motivational business program on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Schlitz Park’s RiverCenter that will not only aim to inspire but will also raise funds for Hunger Task Force.

The program, “Create the Life You Want,” will feature nationally known speaker, author and consultant Susan K. Wehrley, who will discuss how people can break beyond the limits of their thinking and self-doubt to “tap into their true essence.”

Wehrley’s program will also incorporate Maslow’s theory, based on the philosophy that people have three basic levels of hunger – hunger for safety and security, hunger for love and belonging, and hunger for self-actualization.

All event proceeds will be donated to Hunger Task Force.

“As we advance in our growth, we also must remember where we once were and feed those in need at other levels,” Wehrley said.

Cost to attend the program is $20, which includes the presentation along with a tour of Schlitz Park and a happy hour immediately after at Schlitz Park Café.

Bins will also be onsite at the program to collect donations of nonperishable food items for Hunger Task Force. Schlitz Park is currently hosting a food drive for the nonprofit.

The fundraising program will be limited to the first 117 who sign up and pay online.

RiverCenter is located at 1555 Rivercenter Dr. in Milwaukee.
