William D. Goodman, CPA, president of Schenck SC in Brookfield, has received a Distinguished Career Award from the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Goodman was singled out because of his leadership, commitment to the profession and service to the WICPA and community.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the Wisconsin public accounting industry and has been president of Schenck since 2003. He previously served as managing partner of KPMG in Milwaukee.
Goodman has been a board member and president of the WICPA and a member of the governing council for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently board chair of the independent accounting firms organization AGN International-North America.
“I believe the measure of a leader is the success of the people around them. During my involvement within the CPA profession and as a practicing CPA, I have had the great fortune of working with a number of extremely successful individuals. Receiving distinction through association with these fine professionals is wonderful yet humbling,” Goodman said.
