In brokering the deal, Thomas Gale of Equity Commercial Real Estate LLC represented the building’s owner, Corcoran Place LLC. The building is managed by Ogden & Company Inc. Warehouse No. 1, designed by Herman Esser, was constructed in 1904 as the first home for Hansen Storage Co. Hansen moved out of the building in 1974 and is now located in Wauwatosa.

SBT will occupy more than 3,700 square feet, with the opportunity to expand when needed.

"This move is another exciting chapter in the ongoing evolution of our company. We really wanted to stay in the City of Milwaukee because Milwaukee is at the heart of business for the region," said Dan Meyer, publisher of Small Business Times. "After nearly 13 years, we’re excited to be moving into the Third Ward, which is home to so many vibrant, creative and growing companies. With all of the momentum generated by the new features in our publication and our Web site, in addition to our increasingly popular live events, this move is another opportunity for us to build our brand."
