Ryan says White House officials ‘don’t talk to us’

U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan says he does not know if the White House is taking the threat of government debt seriously, because "they don’t talk to us."
Since November, Ryan, who will soon become the House Budget Committee chairman, said he has only spoken to President Obama and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geitner since November, as most of the other people he knew in the White House are no longer there.
Ryan spoke at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast. To view a webcast video of Ryan’s remarks, click here.
Ryan will be one of the featured panelists at the Northern Trust Economic Trends Breakfast to be presented by BizTimes Media on Jan. 21, 2011. To register to attend, visit www.biztimes.com/trends.
