Ryan for V.P.?

Would U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Janesville), who is hearing loud support and opposition this week for his “Path to Prosperity” plan to eliminate the federal deficit and curb Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, consider a vice presidential nomination in 2012?
In an radio interview on Wednesday, he did not dismiss the notion.
Speaking on AM 620-WTMJ’s Wisconsin’s Afternoon News to John Mercure and Erik Bilstad, Ryan again reiterated that he has absolutely no interest in running for president in 2012. Ryan said he did not want to spend two years on the campaign trail away from his wife and children.
However, as the interview concluded, Ryan was asked by Mercure if he would consider a vice presidential bid if he were to be nominated. In response, Ryan laughed and said, “Well, we’ll cross those bridges if we get to them.”
