Oconomowoc-based Rogers Memorial Hospital has expanded its services for children and adolescents with new mental health programming.
Rogers-Oconomowoc will now offer a partial-hospitalization program for children and adolescents with severe obsessive compulsive disorder, OC-spectrum disorders and other anxiety disorders. About one-third of the patients with anxiety disorders treated at Rogers are between ages six and 17.
“Our OCD programming offers various levels of care and by adding this child and adolescent partial hospitalization program, those with OCD or anxiety can get help while staying connected with family, friends and school,” said Paul Mueller, chief executive officer.
Rogers has also added a general mental health partial-hospitalization program at its West Allis office for adolescents between 13 and 18 with a primary diagnosis of anxiety or mood disorder.
“As children transition into adolescence, mental health problems begin to develop or, for those with existing problems, the disorder may become more complex. With the addition of our mental health partial hospitalization program, we can provide the support needed to reduce risky behaviors, improve decision making and hopefully provide guidance they can utilize for the rest of their life,” continued Mueller.
Rogers is also in the process of expanding its child and adolescent day treatment program in Kenosha and opening an adolescent mental health partial hospitalization program and child and adolescent OCD intensive outpatient program in Brown Deer.
