Rockline Industries is investing $20 million in a new disinfecting wipe production line at its Sheboygan facility that will nearly double production capacity.
Called the XC-105 Galaxy, Rockline’s global engineering group is designing the line and building it in partnership with leading converting equipment manufacturers.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has created a new level of awareness among the American people about the importance of proper surface disinfection," said Randy Rudolph, president of Rockline Industries. "We are making a huge investment in the future by installing the Galaxy line to ensure that our customers will be able to meet consumers' increasing demand for disinfecting wipes."
The line is expected to be fully operational by mid-2021. It will also require Rockline to relocate some existing production lines within the Sheboygan facility.
Rockline plans to add jobs at the facility as production volume increases, but an exact number of new positions is not immediately available.
The company, which makes coffee filters and wet wipes for consumer, health care, industrial and institutional markets, employs around 2,500 people worldwide. It has facilities in Wisconsin, Arkansas, New Jersey, Tennessee and England.
