River West Center on East Capitol Drive sold for $9 million

The River West Center shopping center on East Capitol Drive has been sold to a New York-based investor, state records show.

The roughly 105,000-square-foot neighborhood shopping center, located at 320-380 E. Capitol Drive, was recently purchased by River West MKE LLC, a subsidiary of East Meadow, New York-based United Properties Corp., for roughly $9 million. The seller is T-L River West LLC, an affiliate of Westmont, Illinois-based Tri-Land Properties Inc.

River West Center tenants include Ross Dress For Less, Office Depot, Walgreens, Dollar Tree, Payless Shoe Source and others. Ross opened its 35,000-square-foot store at River West Center in 2017.

The city of Milwaukee assesses the center at $8.4 million.

A representative of the buyer could not be reached for comment. A spokesperson for Tri-Land did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
