What has fueled your company’s growth? Our company’s growth can be directly linked to having the right staff and having everybody on board believe in our core values. There are a few extremely powerful guiding principles that River Run believes in, which we call FIPPERD: fun, integrity, passion, precision, excellence and directness in communication. We have also leveraged key alliances with our strategic partners to ensure the products and services we provide our clients are the best possible solutions both economically and technically, and that their principles match our own.

What is the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth? The Information Technology industry is constantly evolving, and staying ahead of the curve is an obstacle in itself.  Given that, our engineers have an immense passion for the work they do, they are constantly researching new products and solutions that our clients can benefit from. This “obstacle” thus becomes a minor challenge.

Do you plan any changes in your company in the upcoming months? River Run is constantly improving and enhancing our processes and procedures. We plan on adding engineers and client service members to our team.  There are plans on expanding our realm of services to include the latest features in secure wireless technology as well as other technologies that benefit our clients.

Who are the business people, locally or nationally, whom you admire? And what traits do those people exhibit that make you admire them? John Stollenwork, CEO of Allen Edmonds and Eric Tetzlaff, CEO of SaberCor. John Stollenwork has been able to lead his manufacturing company to provide high quality footwear in the United States.  He is able to compete because he and his team are constantly evaluating how they are doing things.  I admire his resilience and his drive.  When times are tough he just looks for ways to make things better! Eric Tetzlaff is also a visionary who has great business process mind.  He is always willing to listen to our ideas and issues and will give very direct feedback.  His insight and suggestions are invaluable. Both gentlemen are visionaries and are never content with the status quo.

What is the outlook for the business conditions of your industry over the next several months?
As business owners want to increase productivity and are becoming more conscious of the fact that an investment in information technology is an investment in productivity, we expect business conditions to continue to improve as it has over the past 12 months.
