Retailworks launches Solterra Studios
Division will focus on ‘green’ facility design

Solterra Studios has been launched by Retailworks, a nationally recognized, award winning retail store design firm in Cedarburg.
"Solterra Studios is our health-oriented, ‘green’ design arm which specializes in using sustainable, earth-friendly products," said Lyn Falk, founder and president of Retailworks. "Our aim is to provide clients with beautiful environments that work efficiently, keep occupants healthier and more productive, and serve the larger picture of ‘conscious living.’ Building healthfully and ‘green’ is no longer a prohibitively costly endeavor. Ignoring today’s smart holistic design practices is, however, extremely costly long term. You can be environmentally sensitive and economically practical – and profitable."
Solterra Studios (www.solterrastudios.com) will serve a wide range of commercial and residential clients.
Its parent company, Retailworks (www.retailworksinc.com), has been in business since 1995 and, along with Solterra Studios, is headquartered in a design showroom in the historic Hanover Building at W65 N630 St. John Ave. in Cedarburg.
Solterra Studios has partnered with New Hope Natural Media of Boulder, Colo. (a division of Penton Media) to present the exclusive "Store Of The Future" at New Hope’s Natural Products Expo West trade show this weekend in (March 6-9) in Anaheim, Calif.
Expo West (www.expowest.com) is North America’s largest natural products trade show and conference, featuring more than 50,000 products and 2,400 exhibitors. Solterra Studios designed and outfitted the 2,000-square-foot store, and has six associates on the selling floor.
The "Store Of The Future" is a first for Expo West and one of this year’s main attraction, Falk said, featuring the latest in healthful, eco-friendly interior finishes and furnishings.
"The ‘Store Of The Future’ gives the 30,000-plus attendees a chance to see how today’s healthful, green products are practical, beautiful and affordable," Falk said. "Solterra Studios is delighted to get under way with such an important project as this one that really helps us show the viability and vitality associated with healthful, sustainable environments."
