The success of the Drexel Town Square development in Oak Creek has begun to pay off for neighboring property owners.

Dr. Ajaz Qhavi, a neurologist with Aurora Health Care Medical Group, has purchased a 2,500-square-foot commercial building on a 1.5-acre site located at 200 W. Drexel Ave., directly across the street from the mixed-use Drexel Town Square development.
Qhavi plans to redevelop the property into retail and restaurant space, according to Karen Johnson, a broker with MLG Commercial.
Qhavi purchased the property under Drexel 200 LLC for $515,000 from Jon Clapper of Franklin. The property is assessed for $203,200.
“It could possibly be two retail spaces and a restaurant,” Johnson said. “He is still coming up with the design and I would imagine the earliest he would get started is fall, but it will probably be spring of 18.”
The property is currently zoned for manufacturing so Qhavi would have to have it rezoned before moving forward with commercial development.
