Reed elected to national Humane Societies board

Anne Reed, executive director of the Wisconsin Humane Society has been elected to a 16 person board of the National Federation of Humane Societies.

Reed will serve as chair of the organization’s Vision Initiative which aims to end pet homelessness nationwide by the year 2020. The National Federation of Humane Societies is a national federation of humane organizations that promotes animal welfare ideas and policies to the general public, encourages best practices and policies within the industry, and promotes legislation that improves the lives of animals. 
Reed became executive director of the Wisconsin Humane Society in January 2010 after serving nearly thirty years as a litigator at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren SC.
